Cổng làng Mông Phụ được xây dụng trên con đường chính vào làng tư thế kỷ XVI, XVII, thời Lê. Thời phong kiến, khi cánh cổng khép cổng khép lại cùng với lũy tre gai mọc quanh làng tạo thành bức tường sống, đảnm bảo an ninh trật tự trong làng.
