Hang Buon Street is the street was born from it. Goods of all kinds, and indispensable for the street selling sails. In modern times, sailling boats are gradually fading into the past, Hanoians build dikes and turn their backs on the river. Although the old profession si gone, the name of Hang Buom street is still there. the work of Hang Buom Street is both like a street sign and a proud flab confieming the origin of the name and location of the people of ke Cho: the street of sails. As such forever!.

Discription de l’exposition || An acculturation in the contemporary period
Trúc Chỉ is new type of art-paper, paper-art of Vietnam and also a result of reseach projet on handmade papermaking by Artist Phan Hai Bang, Senior Lecturer of Colege of Arts, University of Hue and fellow, starting from 2000.
Originalted from Hue in 2012, Truc Chi is now a valuble part of the new art culture of Hue, Vietnam. The art of Truc Chi was developed by artist Phan Hai Bang, and colleagues. Together they have built upon the traditional art of paper crafting, utilizing a wide variety of materials, differnt techniques, and novel ideas, to create a new form of art and new cultural values adding to the already ruch culture of Hue.
About 1 km from the Imperil City of Hue, Truc Chi Garden with flowers and green bamboo trees is located at 5 Thach Haan, Hue.

This is where everyone can find a tranquil green space distinctive of Hue city, and discover a new form of art. Here people may enjoy an artistic space with many works of Truc Chi art on display, as well as handcrafting Truc Chi Artworks created by the artists people can also appreciate the spirit of Hue city, and the spririt of Vietnam through
varius products designed to bring forth traditions under contemporary forms and ideas, such as : Truc Chi cone hats, handmade bamboo fans, and elegant bamboo-framed umbrellas. With Truc Chi art, Lang Sinh artworks and Hue kites are presented under a new light.
Beside viewing artworks, anyone can become an artisan by handcrafting Truc Chi products for thermselves with the help of many enthusiastic Truc Chi artists!
Along with artistic creativity, Truc Chi breathes new life into simple locally materials, creating new values but not without carrying old traditions forward. Thus Truc Chi contributes much to the existing wealth of arts and culture of Hue.

Since establishment in 2011 by artist Phan Hai Bang, then named by author/translator Buu Y in 2012, Truc Chi art has well as internationally, and received many national awards in visual arts applied arts.
At the same time, using principles of paper crafting and printmaking, the term ‘Trucchugraphy” was coined and recognized, paper crafting and printmaking, the term “Trucchigraphy” was coined and recognized, to be used in the world of visual arts as well as in life. With thi mission of : Aestthetics – Educatin – Socity, Truc Chi Art of Vietnam has benn recognized as appropriate actions aligning with the values and traditions within the contemporary context, by reseachers and intellectuals of Hue, Vietnam.
